Our General Building team has delivered a specialist structural remediation scheme for Bath & North East Somerset Council (BANES), stabilising a failed stone retaining wall in an active school setting.
With restricted access and sports pitches in regular use next to the wall, the team carefully planned the works to keep the site safe and minimise disruption to the college.
Scope of works:
– Installation of ground anchors to secure the failed structure
– Formation of weepholes to manage hydrostatic pressure
– Traditional raking out and lime re-pointing of stone masonry
– Complete structural remediation and stabilisation under live environment controls
