St Mary’s Primary School Roofing Project

Raising the roof – literally!
We’re on site at St Mary’s Primary School, Portbury, delivering a £400K roof structure and reroofing upgrade for the Lighthouse Schools Partnership.

Why?
The existing roof had reached the end of its life, so we’re:
Retiling the roof and upgrading the structure
Increasing insulation thickness to boost U-values for better thermal performance and energy savings
Installing larger rafters, upgraded fascia, gutters & downpipes
Replacing & reinstating automated smoke-release roof lights
Completing M&E alterations and decoration works

Project Timeline:
Phase 1 (2 weeks): Temporary scaffolding & system roof to protect the building from bad weather while ceilings stay in place
Phase 2 (5 weeks): Main works – roof replacement, insulation upgrade & associated works
Total Duration: 14 weeks

Trades On Site: Scaffolders, Roofers, Carpenters, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Fire & Security, Decorators
